A Small Detail. A Meaningful Step Forward for Our Wine.

Starting with the 2025 vintage, our Valdobbiadene DOCG wines will be sealed with a new mushroom cork featuring three natural cork discs instead of the traditional two.

It may seem like a small change, but it’s one made with a clear purpose: to protect the wine even better and support its evolution over time.

A word from our winemaker
“We chose this new closure not because the previous one wasn’t performing well, but because we wanted to take one more step forward. Great quality is built through countless small decisions, and this is one of them.”
Mirco Balliana
Winemaker, Andreola

Why change a cork that already worked well?
Wine quality is shaped by attention to detail, and the cork is one of the most important of those details. As the final element to come into contact with the wine, it plays a key role throughout the bottle’s ageing process.
The additional natural cork disc creates an extra barrier between the wine and the agglomerated section of the closure, helping to further reduce the risk of unwanted compounds that could affect the wine’s aromatic purity.
Simply put: less interference, more authenticity.

Better protection over time
Using more natural cork also means greater elasticity and an even more reliable seal.
The cork adapts more effectively to the neck of the bottle, helping preserve the wine’s freshness, balance and elegance as it matures over time.

A choice that reflects our philosophy
We believe that exceptional quality is never the result of one single decision, but of continuous care for every detail.
From the vineyard to the bottle, we are always looking for ways to protect what matters most: the wine.
